At Temperance Traders, we do NOT trade in temperance - in fact, quite the opposite!

 

The "Temperance Movement" of the early 20th century was aimed at getting people to STOP drinking alcohol.  It resulted in Prohibition, a sad 13-year period when it was illegal to manufacture or sell alcohol in the U.S.  

 

In our humble opinion...

TEMPERANCE IS OVERRATED!

...but it makes a great name for our store, which sits on the edge of Temperance State Park.
